International Brand Experts Connect in Philadelphia
After the achievement of the GDS-exhibition, in Klingspor museum Germany, in spring 2007, Bailey Brand Consulting, the american partnerstudio of GDS organised one in Philadelphia.
From the 8th until the 14th of November 2008 the exhibition „The Global Brandscape: Connecting with Consumers“ has been in „One Liberty Place“, one of the biggest Shopping Malls in Philadelphia. At the opening, there have been 130 people and three GDS Partner: Jennifer Tsai from Taipei, Ricardo Rousselot from Barcelona and Knut Hartmann from Germany. So the visitors and also some clients of Bailey Brand consulting had the chance to talk to them, ask questions about the samples ort he international Trends of Packaging and Branding.
Christopher Bailey, president of Bailey Brand Consulting, organised, a Workshop with his client „Tasty Cake“ and the GDS Partnern. The GDS Partner designed a packaging design for Tasty Cake, with there own country- and market view. In the workshop they discuss about the different designs. But they also talk and discuss with Charlie Pizzi, president of Tasty Cake, how the cookies have to taste or look like, in the different countries. Mr Knut Hartmann for example talk about the association of wine and chocolate, or Mrs Jennifer Tsai, told them, that cookies at the aisia market aren´t that sweet.
The next GDS meeting is in June 2009 in Tapei, Taiwan. There they have a stand at the Tapei Food Fair. In 2010, the next event should be in Germany.
